R v ** - Murder of Canadian National who was in a relationship with the defendants Ex partner. 

 

Fraud

 

Operation Parramatta – Largescale conspiracy to steal investigated by the Regional Economic Crime Unit to the value of £497,122.86. The defendant impersonated police officers to persuade individuals to hand over cash. Benefit amount reduced and available amount agreed to less than £50,000.00.

 

Operation Tarlac – Significant conspiracy to defraud and or laundering of dishonestly obtained funds valuing in excess of £12 million pounds. 

 

Drugs

 

Operation Boomi – Defendant charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs investigated by the Organised Crime Group valued at £4 million pounds. Confiscation order of £8,000 agreed. 

 

Operatio Varangi – Investigation led by the National Crime Agency and the Metropolitan Police regarding a conspiracy to supply class A drugs valued at £3.4 million pounds. A nominal order agreed of £1. Further, successful appeal against sentence granted.

 

Operation Penn – Investigation concerning the supply of class A and class B led by the Violent and Organised Crime Unit. Total value being £100,000.00. Confiscation dropped by CPS on the basis of an abuse argument.

 

Operation Cornith – Investigation led by the National Crime Team and the Organised crime Unit into a conspiracy to supply class B drugs valuing £4.6 million pounds. Currently Ongoing, Charges dropped for one client.

 

Sexual Offences

 

Operation Wavetree – Appeal against conviction for a sentence for rape whereby the witness was permitted to carry her small child whilst giving evidence in court. Matter Ongoing
