Zayd Ahmed successful in GBH case at Half Time

Zayd Ahmed successful in half time submission on s20 Grievous Bodily Harm case.

Zayd Ahmed was instructed trial counsel in a multi handed case where the defendanst had been charged with unlawful wounding following a fight where the complainant suffered multiple injuries including a dislocated shoulder. 

Zayd argued that the injuries suffered were not sufficiently serious to amount to a charge of gbh and further argued that his client did not cause the injury considering the law on causation. 

After successful submissions, the Judge agreed to a submission of no case to answer and the charge of s20 GBH was withdrawn from the jury.
